We began our operation in 1950 with metal accessories manufacture. After 60 years of development and intensification of production today SPINKO is a big company with a diversified line of products, carrying out widely understood research concerning development and current manufacture. We have an established position in the manufacture of high quality aluminium die-castings, precise machining of aluminium and iron die-castings and the manufacture of aluminium window handles. We also offer our tool and measuring services.

Our aim is constant progress and meeting our customers' needs in order to keep our supremacy on the market and raise the Company value.

Our mission is continuous improvement of design, manufacture and services, which can help us guarantee our customers full satisfaction.

IMPORTANT DATES:

1950 -	Founding the company with the name Spółdzielnia Inwalidów "Bzura" ("Bzura" Cooperative of the Handicapped) in Leszno on the initiative of war-disabled people. The founders were: Karol Muńko, Józef Baranowski, Stanisław Sosień, Ignacy Lewandowski, Józef Stachowiak. The purpose of starting the Company was to train and employ war-disabled people and military men and their family members.

1952 -	Dividing of the Company into: Spółdzielnia Inwalidów Bzura ("Bzura" Cooperative of the Handicapped) - metal industry, production and sales on Polish and foreign markets, Spółdzielnia Inwalidów Start ("Start" Cooperative of the Handicapped) - services and trade.

1954 -	Change of the name for Spółdzielnia Inwalidów im. Mikołaja Kopernika (Nicolas Copernicus Cooperative of the Handicapped)

1961 -	Obtaining the status of a Protected Work Enterprise - over 70 % of the staff are handicapped people; the main purpose is their professional and social rehabilitation.

1982 -	Opening a modern enterprise in Okrężna Street, Leszno, Poland.

1988 -	Beginning the manufacture of electric motors of small power ranging from 25 to 120 W - implementing new technologies: accurate cutting out, pressure die-casting, winding of motors.

1989 -	Beginning the manufacture of fuel level sensors for cars, lorries, tractors and buses.

1991 -	Starting an assembly line of household products (microwave ovens, car vacuum cleaners).

1992 -	Implementing an integrated, computer company management system and CAD/CAM computer assisted designing system.

1993 -	Beginning the manufacture of window and door handles, window fittings.

1995 -	Transforming the Cooperative into a commercial law company: SPINKO Sp. z o.o. (SPINKO, Ltd.) - the name was made up of the first letters of the words coming from the nameSPółdzielnia INwalidów im. M. KOpernika ("Nicolas Copernicus Cooperative of the Handicapped"). Starting the production of pane rolling mechanisms for motor-cars and lorries.

1996 -	Acquisition of the certificate of conformity of the Company Quality Assurance System with the ISO 9001 standard. Starting the production of propane-butane gas reducers.

1997 -	Implementation of new production technologies: vibro-abrasive machining, aluminium anodizing line, gravity die-casting.

1999 -	Beginning the manufacture of elements for turbochargers.

2000 -	Construction of aluminium pressure foundry. Achieving the certificate of conformity with the QS 9000 standards for the Company Quality Assurance System. Starting the production of aluminium pressure die-castings for the gas and textile industries (for companies RMA, STORK).

2003 -	Achieving the certificates ISO 9001 - 2000 and TS 16949 - 2002 for the Company Quality Assurance System. Machining cast iron castings for the automotive industry. Big investments in CNC machine tools and testing-measuring equipment.

2005 -	Modernization of the aluminium foundry. Purchasing new casting sections, melting furnaces, trimming presses. Closing the departments polluting the environment - plating dept., anodizing line.
